How I Met Your Mother is one of those truly great TV sitcoms that will live on forever in syndication. I am a huge fan of this show & while stumbling around the internet I came across this photo with a "Barney-ism" that made me desire even more so I YouTubed Barney Stinson and found the compilation video below with more great "Barney-isms."
The Bro Code is a book written by the character Barney Stinson (played by Neill Patrick Harris) that outlines the rules that every man should live by & every episode of "How I Met Your Mother" ends with a Bro Code. You can find a full list of all the Bro Codes HERE or you can buy your own copy at AMAZON. Check them out, they're pretty funny.
While watching the NBA San Antonio Spurs vs. Chicago Bulls game tonight I saw this first Bacardi Gold commercial and it made me LOL. The second one is pretty funny too. Enjoy! Oh yeah, GO SPURS!!!
I don't remember exactly how I came across this website (mostly because I've spent the last 3 hours perusing their site & can't remember where it all started) but being a "car guy" I'm a little disappointed in myself that I haven't visited it before. As you can tell by the name of the site, TheSmokingTire.com is a website for anyone who likes cool or fast cars & enjoys watching videos of said cars doing what they do best. The main host of the episodes that they post on-line is Matt Farah and I must say he's rather entertaining. Like I mentioned, I've spent quite a few hours clicking through page after page of their webisite and have truly enjoyed the videos and posts that I clicked on. I've decided to post a few of my favorites below so you can get an idea of what their site is all about. Anyways, if you're a "gear head" like me then check it out and let me know what you think. Enjoy!
This first video is a music video from one of my favorite musicians Sir Mix-A-Lot. The song is entitled Carz (with a Z) and it's chock full of actual car knowledge, plus it's kind of a catchy tune.
The next video is one of my favorite TV personalities (& a hell of driver to boot) Tanner Foust drifting his way up Mulholland Dr. in California.
This last video is one I found on The Smoking Tire but it doesn't exactly relate to cars other than the fact that it was filmed at a McDonald's drive-thru window. The customer gets mad that they won't serve her Chicken McNuggets at 6 am so she attacks the employee. Watch all the way to the end because the next customer pulls up like nothing happened for their Big Mac. Hilarious.
I haven't posted any BMX videos in quite some time so I figured these would be worthy of a post. I like the Gatorade trick in the first video and the amazing rail riding skills of the second video. Enjoy!
And for good measure, I had to post this video of some guy absolutely flipping out over a skater digging up his bush. Talk about anger management issues.
You have got to watch this. Why would anyone try this? I had to post a screencap from this video so that people would click the thumbnail. It is so obvious from this picture that something funny is about to happen. Enjoy!
I know this got posted up on The Come Up a couple of days ago but I just found it tonight and had to share it immediately. I've always thought Morgan Wade was a little crazy, mostly because of the insane things he'll try on his bike but now I know his dementia runs much deeper than that. I literally laughed out loud watching this, so enjoy!
From the makers of People of Walmart, comes another great website that highlights the "originality" of the people we share this world with in the form of, You Drive What? That's right, just as you have seen people taking photos of the unique specimens of humanity that shop at Walmart, you can now see what those same types of people like to use for transportation. I give you example number 1. For more great examples, click on the links above and kill a solid day being amazed at what some people are willing look like out in the world.
My friend Travis (see his interview HERE) pointed out to me that a UNTstudent in Denton, TX has created a Twitter account that posts the pictures of all the people who are arrested in Denton. The original purpose of this project was to show the impact that social media can have and now the student is apparently writing a paper for school. The thing that is funny is some of the comments made. I have included a few of the funniest pics below but please waste a few hours and scroll thru them. Commenter Samurailicious is the funniest commenter.
The charge for this arrest was Theft and Samurailicious commented that "Someone stole her eyebrows."
The charge for this arrest was Assault Causes Bodily Injury and Samurailicious commented that "Someone must have made fun of his hair."
This one I added from another blog but only because the hair is great.
This is hilarious and it makes me think that he could be a funny man in movies. I bet his phone number is: 1-800-HIT-HARD. Anyone a big MMA fan? What was the last UFC Pay-Per-View you watched?
SNL hit a humorous home run with their Digital Shorts in 2009. Actually, they hit numerous home runs and Andy Samberg & The Lonely Island Crew were the guys at the plate. I know y'all have seen (& probably sung along with) all of these videos but they are just so funny I had to repost them again for old time's sake. Fair warning, these are not suitable for children. Enjoy, over and over and over!!!!
If you've got more time to kill thengo check out Saturday Night Live for more videos
This is an actual message from a high school in Australia that the staff voted on unanimously to record on their school's answering machine. The school and teachers are being sued by the parents of their students because they won't change the failing grades to passing. Even though the students haven't attended enough classes or completed enough work to warrant passing grades. Hilarious and sadly true. Enjoy!
I found THIS website via a Tony Hawk tweet and I almost got myself in trouble from laughing out loud at work. It had to be obvious based on the chuckles coming from my cubicle that I was not updating the ROI report. David Thorne is the author of the internet is a playground and his website include tons of excerpts from his book. The first one I read is an e-mail exchange titled, "It's like twitter. Except we charge people to use it." I also read one that is a bunch of quotes from his son which had me laughing out loud again. Anyways, if you've got some time to kill then check out his site. By the way, click on the 27/b6 logo in the upper right hand corner to access the funny. Enjoy!
It is amazing that somebody actually caught this on video. The driver of this $1.25 Million supercar has got to kicking himself for letting this happen. He claims a pelican caused him to swerve but I couldn't see any pelican in the video. There are only 15 Bugatti Veyrons in the US and only 1 of them appears to be amphibious. Enjoy!
This video is of the car being pulled from the water
A gangsta' plans to show off his dancing treadmill skills and fails hilariously. I laughed harder the more times I watched it. His friend laughing at him makes it even better. I love how he plays it off and starts dancing again. Enjoy!
I found this remix on youtube and enjoyed it as well
This guy I know from BMXing at skateparks has a business where he travels around the state mostly and puts on BMX demos for various businesses, schools, fairs, etc. Anyways, while riding the show he met a guy who boasted about having some really tall bikes so he went over to check them out. The picture below is what came from checking out the weird guy's bikes. I'm not even sure how you would get started riding that thing.
I stumbled upon this graph from Graph Jam and it put a smile on my face. It makes me miss my dogs because they are always happy to see me, especially when I've been gone for a couple of weeks on business trips. I figured it's been awhile since I posted a picture of a cute puppy so I included a couple of those from the Daily Puppy as well.
