365 Days - Day 365

American Gothic - Stokes style. Today is the last day of my first 365 project and one of the photos I've been wanting to take since my wife and I bought our first house was a tribute to "American Gothic." I'll admit that this isn't a duplication of the original but I think it's a pretty accurate representation of our version. Not that I'm standing on the left instead of the right & we're both smiling which I think indicates our life pretty well; i.e. the wife is always right. I love you Babe and I'm very proud of our home.

365 Days - Day 364

Tonight I visited a Fuzzy's Taco Shop here in Denton for the first time and I must say, I wish I hadn't waited so long. They have the best queso ever. I'm looking forward to going back soon. Thanks for taking me to dinner babe.

365 Days - Day 363

I can't explain how happy I am to be home, especially after a 3 week long trip. There are so many reasons I'm glad to be home like seeing my wife, spending time with my friends and hanging out with my dogs. Here Harper shows me just how much she missed me by cuddling with me on the couch. I just hope I don't ever have to leave for a long business trip ever again.

365 Days - Day 362

Just like yesterday, I'm driving home today and I can't possibly be more excited. After 3 long weeks on the road, I'm very happy to be heading back to my beautiful wife and super cute dogs. I love my family and I can't wait to see them.

365 Days - Day 361

Today I start the long drive home from Phoenix, AZ. It's been a long 3 week loop of event around NM & AZ. I'm very excited about the fact that I finally get to go home. 20 hours is a long time to spend on the road but at least I'm going home. See you soon babe.

365 Days - Day 360

If I'm lucky, this may very well be the last Double-Double Animal Style burger and Animal Style fries I get to eat for a very long time. Tomorrow I leave Phoenix and head home after a long 3 week trip. If  things go well then I won't have to travel back this way for business ever again, if I'm unlucky then I'll be back again next year. As much as I love In-N-Out Burgers, I truly hope I don't get another one for a very long time.

365 Days - Day 359

The agent at my event today just bought a new office mascot and this little buddy loved me. One day I will own a cute little Old English Bulldog like this one. I just don't think there are any cuter breeds than these ugly little pups. I wish I could have kidnapped him but my wife said 5 dogs would just be too many. Oh well, one day I'll get to call a Bully my best friend.

365 Days - Day 358

I went to dinner at the KFC across the street from my hotel in Prescott Valley, AZ and they had a portrait of Colonel Sanders on the wall. It was the perfect height for me to get my picture taken with him so I did. Nothing else to say other than I took this with the Hipstamatic App which makes it look like I was actually standing next to the Colonel. Dinner with the Colonel.

365 Days - Day 357

I went to Pizza Hut for dinner tonight and the gas station next door had one of the biggest American flags displayed on top of their building and for some reason it made me feel rather patriotic. This photo doesn't show me very well because it was so dark and the flag is way over exposed because of the giant spotlight being shined on it but I don't care, I still like this photo.

365 Days - Day 356

In my 32 years on this planet I've had the pleasure of getting to see a very large portion of this country that I call home. As of yesterday I have set foot in 43 of the lower 48 states and as you can see from the sign above, today I added California to that list. I'm traveling around Arizona for a business trip and my travels have brought me to Bullhead City, AZ. Since Needles, CA is just a hop skip and a jump across the Colorado River I decided that I would make it 44 of the lower 48. While I just barely made it into the State of California at least I can now mark it off my list. Maybe one day I'll get a chance to see even more of the state.

365 Days - Day 355

Even though today was a work day for me, I still have to admit that the most important thing (in my mind) that I did today was watch almost 2 full seasons of Entourage. I am now completely up to date on one of my most favorite shows ever. From the time I checked into my hotel until the time I go to sleep, this is what I'll be looking at.

365 Days - Day 354

Today's submission is of a guy enjoying his favorite hot dog on the entire planet. Today I have the fortune of traveling through Tucson, AZ on my way up towards Phoenix and there was no way I was going to pass by without stopping to get a sonoran dog from Whatachon Dogs food stand. I was surprised to find out that he now puts 2 hot dogs in each bun, which means that the 3 hot dogs I ordered resulted in me eating 6 hot dogs. Boy was I full but it was so worth it.

365 Days - Day 353

I'm wishing now that I had gone back to get my real camera but as I was walking from my hotel to Denny's for dinner I noticed one of the brightest, most clear full moons I've seen in a very long time. It literally felt like I could just reach out and pluck it right from the sky.

365 Days - Day 352

Driving back to my hotel from Nogales, AZ after work today I came across a beautiful break in the clouds of the storm that had been hanging overhead all day. The dark stormy clouds ahead of me were highlighted by the golden rolling hills that were light up by the setting sun behind me. Unfortunately this picture doesn't do the view justice but fortunately I can remember what it looked like just by seeing this photo.

I took this photo from the parking lot of my hotel in Benson, AZ after I checked into my room. I missed the best part of the sunset but I did get a few images that I really liked.

365 Days - Day 350

Today I drove from Albuquerque, NM to Safford, AZ and I took a more direct route that went through the mountains. On the decent down the backside of the mountain range I came across this amazing look out spot. This photo doesn't do it justice but trust me, it was an amazing view.

365 Days - Day 349

Last night I was feeling pretty confident with my riding so I started trying 360s at the Los Altos Skatepark in Albuquerque, NM and cleanly landed 10 out of 12 attempts. I was so stoked that I couldn't wait to wake up this morning and go back down to the skatepark to film a few. I shot this photo with my iPhone and somehow got the perfect timing.

365 Days - Day 348

I spent a solid two hours chilling at the Los Altos Skatepark in Albuquerque, NM on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Days like today make me wish I had some friends to travel with me because even though I had a fun time hanging out and riding a little BMX, it was still kind of lonely being there all by myself. Oh well, I'll take what I can get.

365 Days - Day 347

When traveling for work, I've found it's hard to keep myself entertained but my stay in Santa Fe, NM made that a little easier. There is a Redbox movie rental kiosk down the street at the Walgreens so I decided to rent a few movies today. Operation: Endgame sucked but 2012 was pretty good.

365 Days - Day 346

I forgot to take a photo today so this is what you get from me. I'm hanging out in my hotel room on the bed submitting resumes, hence the glum look on my face.
